The Kambo Ceremony
At Lion Heart Medicine, we offer donation-based private ceremonies.
The duration is typically 2-3 hours, depending on the person.
Our suggested donation is $200- we encourage you to honestly pay what you can.
We will come to your home or a place designated for the ceremony and serve you there.
Our reason for offering only private ceremonies is that this allows the receiver to be vulnerable and go deep with the medicine.
*You may book with another person, however the ceremonies will still be one-on-one*
Kambo is a very vulnerable experience. Purging from the mouth, evacuating the bowels, shaking, crying...this medicine requires full surrender.
And as such, the safety of our clients is the highest priority.

Our ceremonies include:
- Screening prior to booking- we will have a phone call to go over your medical and personal history to ensure you are a good candidate for Kambo
- "Smudge" or Smoke cleansing- We use palo santo and/or sage to cleanse the space and our bodies prior to receiving medicine. This ensures the space is set as sacred and protected for the kambo ceremony.
- Intention setting ceremony- This medicine works deeply with intention and we will explore in depth how best to guide this medicine to maximize your healing.
- Kambo Ceremony- We prepare the medicine according to traditional Matses lineage and apply it to your body. There are multiple steps and we ensure your care and safety through the whole process.
- Rapé (pronounced ha-pey) ceremony (optional)- You are welcome to receive traditional tobacco snuff (Rapé) from different Amazonian tribes after your Kambo ceremony is complete. It is applied by blowing into each nostril. Very grounding.
- Closing ceremony- There will be a chance to integrate and process your experience after receiving Kambo.
